This role is well suited to someone early in their IT career who enjoys structured work, keeping records accurate, and helping ensure systems meet required standards. You don’t need prior audit experience — we’ll provide training and clear processes to support you as you develop. You’ll work closely with IT and security colleagues to help ensure our device estate is well-documented, compliant and audit-ready, while also providing friendly, practical support to staff.
What you’ll be doing:
IT asset management & audit support

•Support regular asset audits and compliance checks by reviewing records and identifying discrepancies.
•Help ensure devices are issued, returned and retired in line with company policies.
•Assist with evidence gathering for internal or external audits (training provided).
•Track and document exceptions, replacements and asset movements clearly and consistently.
Compliance & security administration
•Support routine checks to confirm devices meet security and compliance standards (e.g. encryption, updates, endpoint protection).
•Help monitor device compliance reports and escalate issues where needed.
•Assist with enforcing device policies in a consistent and user-friendly way.
•Maintain compliance documentation and checklists.
Device & endpoint support
•Assist with the setup and configuration of laptops, desktops, phones and tablets.
•Support staff with day-to-day device issues and questions.
•Help apply updates, patches and standard configurations across devices.
•Support the management of mobile devices through MDM tools (training provided).
•Monitor, report and act upon device health, compliance and usage metrics.
•Document standard operating procedures, device configuration standards, and contribute to improvements in our device deployment and support processes.
Process, documentation & improvement
•Follow clear procedures for asset tracking, device provisioning and compliance checks.
•Help improve processes by suggesting clearer documentation or simpler workflows.
•Keep records and procedures up to date to ensure audit readiness.
What we’re looking for:
Essential
•Some experience in an IT support, service desk, admin or technical role
(including apprenticeships, placements or career changers).
•Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
•Comfort working with records, inventories or tracking systems.
•Clear, patient communication skills.
•Willingness to learn structured processes and compliance requirements.
Helpful but not required
•Exposure to IT asset management, auditing or compliance activities.
•Familiarity with Windows devices and Microsoft 365.
•Experience supporting mobile devices (iPhones/iPads).
•An interest in IT security, governance or operational risk.
•Any relevant training or certifications.
If you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
Why this role could be right for you
•Clear structure, expectations and processes.
•Supportive environment with training and guidance.
•A role that values accuracy, organisation and reliability, not just technical depth.
•A strong foundation for future roles in:
o IT Asset Management
o IT Operations
o IT Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
o Endpoint or Security Operations
Our commitment
We’re committed to building an inclusive team and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly encourage applications from those who may not meet every listed requirement but bring strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn.
