SSY continues to expand global Offshore proposition with the senior appointment of Newbuilding specialist Arne Rustad

SSY, the world’s largest independent shipbroker, has today announced the appointment of Arne Rustad to the position of Senior Broker – Newbuilding/Sale and Purchase (Offshore) – effective immediately.

With over two decades’ of broking experience, Rustad has built an impressive reputation in the Offshore, Newbuilding and S&P space, having worked for more than 20 years at shipbroking firms Clarksons and RS Platou where he held a range of senior positions. Prior to beginning his career in broking, Rustad was employed by Petroleum Geo-Service as a Project Engineer where he spent a number of years working within the technical side of the shipping industry. He also holds a Masters degree in Maritime Technology.

Based at SSY’s newly expanded Oslo office, Rustad will work alongside, Goran Røstad (Head of Offshore – Norway) and Cato Esperø (Offshore Project Director) and the wider chartering teams in Hamburg and Dubai to further build out SSY’s Offshore proposition.
