Ali Susanto joins SSY as Global Co-Head of expanding Ship Finance division.

SSY, the world’s largest independent shipbroker has today announced the appointment of ship finance expert, Ali Susanto to the newly created role of Global Co-Head of SSY Finance, effective immediately.

Widely recognised as one of the most experienced shipping financiers in the industry, Singapore based Susanto will work alongside Co-Head, Jarl Magnus Berge who joined the brokerage in 2023. With over 25 years’ experience in the banking industry, Susanto has amassed wide ranging expertise in the structuring of sophisticated ship leases, equity and debt, having held senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank, GGL Asset Management and most recently, Braemar, where he held the position of Managing Director of their Corporate Finance division.

Speaking on the appointment, Stanko Jekov, SSY Managing Partner comments: “Ali comes to SSY with a proven track record and considerable experience in ship finance.
