SSY targets further growth in Offshore sector with launch of Aberdeen office

SSY, the world’s largest independent shipbroker, has today announced that it will further expand its presence in the United Kingdom with the opening of a new office in Aberdeen, bringing the total number of global offices to 26.

The new office which will open this spring will focus primarily on growing SSY’s Offshore proposition with a view to expanding its operational remit in the coming months. In addition, SSY has also announced that Offshore specialists Jamie Gordon and Myles MacKintosh will be joining SSY in the summer to head up the new Aberdeen division.

Both highly experienced brokers, Gordon and MacKintosh have built impressive reputations in the Offshore and Renewables sector having both worked at Clarksons for more than two decades each.

Speaking on today’s announcement Stanko Jekov, Managing Partner, SSY comments: “Strategically speaking, having a presence in Aberdeen is the logical next step for us as we continue to expand our presence in Offshore and I couldn’t think of two better people to spearhead this initiative than Jamie and Myles.
