Jack Katzler returns to SSY for new Head of Capes – Middle East role

SSY, the world’s largest independent shipbroker has today announced the appointment of Jack Katzler, to the newly created role of Head of Capes (Middle East), effective from January 2025.

A highly regarded broker with over a decade’s experience in the industry, Katzler originally began his career at SSY in 2013, spending five years in London and Singapore respectively before moving to Braemar in 2019 where, until recently, he headed up its Dry Cargo division in Singapore.

Katzler, who initially will be based in Singapore before moving to Dubai in July ’25 will join Ben Dudman (Head of Capes – Atlantic), Inderpreet Tandon (Head of Capes – Pacific) and Will Katzler (Partner, Dry Cargo) to focus on further expanding SSY’s global Capes business.
